STUDIO 1 DROP-IN WORKSHOPS (1-4 PM)

SUNDAYS @ THE CENTER

• $5 per person & free for children under 4. (All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.)
• Workshops are for all ages (not just for kids!) and we welcome you to bring a friend, child, grandparent, or parent to this wonderful new community program - or just bring yourself...
• All workshops are "drop-in" to accommodate busy schedules. Show up any time between 1:00 & 3:15 & you should have plenty of time to finish a project before we close at 4:00.
• Contributing members ($100 and above) will have a punch card waiting for them in Studio 1, for up to 12 free individual admissions to Sunday's drop-in workshops.

SEPTEMBER 12
Free Sunday @ the Center!
Join us for an afternoon of creative art making with two drop-in workshops.  Projects are appropriate for all ages. 

Explore Printmaking Without a Press
A variety of techniques will be used to create one-of-a-kind prints on paper and fabric.

Create a Pastel Drawing
BBAC instructor, Diane Smith, will teach a mini-lesson with chalk pastel.  Workshops run from 2:00-2:45pm and 3:00-3:45pm.

Watch a Wheel Throwing Demo
Studio potters will transform balls of clay into vessels and other functional objects in the Commons Gallery.

SEPTEMBER 19
Cyanotypes
Create your own botanical cyanotype. Cyanotypes are photographic images made without a camera by placing objects directly  onto the surface of a photo-sensitive paper and then exposing it to the sun.  This workshop is weather permitting or a different project will be offered.

SEPTEMBER 26
Glass Mosaic
Use a variety of materials and glass to make a decorative tile.
